Maddie Sivyer is in her first year with the Carina Leagues Club Tigers and Brisbane East Netball Family! Forever smiling, Maddie has become an integral member of the Tigers squad not only on court, but her off court team first approach has been vital to the Ruby teams success so far this year.
When asked why Maddie loves netball, it was the community that stood out for her. “I love netball, everything about it. The community & the friendships you build, it’s a challenge and makes me feel complete.”
Being a new Tiger, Maddie has a fresh insight to the culture at Tigers, connection is incredibly important to the group and coming in new, Maddie has felt the respect from both players and coaches. “I can see the bond within the girls, there is so much respect within the team & coaches. As well as how much everyone wants to be there.”
Ruby Head Coach, Joeanne Hope is thrilled with Maddie’s contribution this year “Maddie has brought a smart netball head and physical speed to the midcourt enabling her to build strong connections through the mid court.”
Away from the Netball court, Maddie is a food production manager.
